Alice Mounce
Alice Mounce, 79, of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Ky.
Alice was born on March 6, 1935, in Somerset, to the late Owens and Martha Upton Harrison. She was a former employee at Britthaven Nursing Home, in Somerset.  
She is survived by two sons, Arnold Wayne Mounce and Phillip Mounce, both of Somerset; four daughters, Janice Kaye Goff, Monievia Gail (and Russell) Martin, Francene Goff and Phyllis Mounce, all of Somerset; four brothers, Carl Harrison, of Columbia, KY, David Harrison, Robert Harrison and Vernon Harrison, all of Somerset; her sister, Ruth Hill, of Somerset; 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Lloyd Mounce, who passed away on January 10, 1983; two sons, Gaynes Allen Mounce and Joseph Brent Mounce; her sister, Opal Sears; a brother, John Harrison; and a grandson, Shaun Smith.
A visitation was held on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. The funeral service followed the visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.  
Bro. Richard Christian officiated the funeral service. 
Interment is in Pitman Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were be Sherman Price, Keith Martin, Greg Goff, Russell Lee Martin, Dustin Martin and Phillip Tyler Weddle.

Betty Bailey Carrier
Betty Bailey Carrier, 79, of Somerset Ky., formerly of Lancaster Ky., passed away on May 26, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center. Born October 3, 1934 in Paintsville, Ky. To the late Pierce Bailey and late Virgie Stacy Bailey. 
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harold Carrier; daughters, Sheryl (and Charles) Moody of Berea Ky., and Vicki (and Keith) Greer of Lancaster. She was Granny/Nanny to grandchildren, J. Matt (and Rachel) Kelly, Vanessa (and Matt) Joseph, Jared Denham, and Spencer Hampton, and was greatly anticipating the October birth of her first great-grandson, Hawken Bailey Joseph. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by infant daughter, Connie Kay Hall; and brothers, Lonnie Gilbert Bailey, Delbert Randolph Bailey, Carl Edwin Bailey; a sister, Lois Henderson Murphy; and also a special cousin, Sharon Hunter.
Betty was a  homemaker and loved flowers of all kinds. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. She especially loved tending to her irises and daylilies. She enjoyed being hostess to many fish fries with her Cumberland Point friends, as well as her camping friends in Florida. She dearly loved her dog
Minnie. Visitation will be held on Thursday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. May 29, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral
Home in Lancaster. 
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday May 30, 2014 at Ramsey Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Butte will officate with the burial following in Lancaster Cemetery. 
Pallbearers will be: J. Matt Kelly, Jared Denham, Spencer Hampton, Matt Joseph, Keith Greer, and T.W. Todd. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Todd, Darrel Marcum, Danny Floyd, Somerset McDonalds Coffee Club, Paul King, Douglas King and Jerry Ridell.

Michael Lee Dagley
Michael Lee Dagley, 60, of Eubank, Ky., passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 22, 1953, son of the late Alberta Mae "Bertie" Dagley Cook. He was a truck-driver for Myers Trucking and U.S. Army veteran.  He was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by one son, Scott Lee (and Lavina J.) Dagley of Somerset; one daughter, Melessa Sue (and David) Sellers of Science Hill; one brother, Ronnie Dean (and Mary) Dagley of Somerset; three sisters, Carol (and Robert) Cook of Mt. Zion, Sandra (and Gregory) Parker of Science Hill and Sharon L. (and Jessie) Bingham of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Benny (and Christy) Warren, Keshia (and Tyler) Hughes, Danny Butt, Brayden Sims, Alberta Sellers, Kay'Lee Sellers and Tyler Dagley; five great-grandchildren; very special friend Dan Maze; and former wife Rebecca Sue Sears.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alberta "Bertie" Cook and his grandfather, George Dagley, who he called "Daddy."
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Fetter Wilder officiating.

Ricky Edward Price
Ricky Edward Price, 54, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014 at his residence. 
He was born on September 25, 1959 in Dayton, Ohio to the late James “Eddie” Price and Shelby Jean Vanhook Williams of Somerset. 
He was an Insurance salesperson of the Baptist faith and a 1978 graduate of Shopville High School. 
He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandbabies and his brother. He also loved his family, the outdoors, reading and was an avid UK Basketball fan. 
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Eddie” Price.
He is survived by his mother, a son, Eric Terrell Price of Somerset, Ky.; three daughters, Courtney Dare (and Michael) Davidson of Somerset. Lagina Navaeh Mounce of Somerset, and Christina (and Adam) Woehlke of St. Louis, Mo.; brother, Stephen Dale (and Christina J.) Price of Somerset; sister, Vicki (and Mike) Hines of Somerset; Grandchildren, Kailan Ashbey Flynn and Aslynn Bailey Davidson; Aunt, Lois Combs of Eubank, Ky.; Uncles, William “Bill” (and Faye) Vanhook, Robert “Bob” (and Fonda)
Vanhook and James (and Christa) Vanhook, all of Somerset; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; a special friend and best companion, “Clooney”, his dog and a special friend, Julie Cowan of Somerset.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 after 6 p.m. at the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Ridner and Bro. Joseph Correll officiating.
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Edward Seale
Edward Elmer Seale, age 96, of Somerset, originally of Booneville, Ky., departed this life on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at his residence.
Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Clyde  Singleton
Clyde Singleton, 64, of Eubank, Ky., passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Pulaski County, Ky., on April 21, 1950, son of Zella Wesley Singleton and the late Lemont Singleton. He was the former owner of Swim World and a member of Singletontown First Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Sue Burkett Singleton; one son, Chris (and Traci) Singleton; one daughter, deRhonda (and Derrick) Vaught; honorary daughter, Jamie (and Adam) Putman; his mother, Zella Singleton; three brothers, Larry (and Jenny) Singleton, Loyal (and Carol) Singleton and Bobby (and Barbara) Singleton; one sister, Glenda (and Jim) Griffin, all of Eubank; six grandchildren, Morgan Singleton, Mason Singleton, Madison Singleton, Dustin Vaught (and fiancé, Toshia Cooper), Devin Vaught and Makenzie Putman; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Forrest Singleton. 
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at Singletontown First Church of God with Bro. Dustin York officiating. Burial will be in Singletontown Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

William Harry Smith
William Harry Smith, 87, of Science Hill, Ky., passed away May 26, 2014
at the Somerset Nursing and Rehab Center.  
He attended the Science Hill Nazarene Church. Harry was a retired custodian of Somerset High School. Harry loved camping and was an avid horse shoe player. 
At his passing he was surrounded by his loving wife (Bernice Smith) of 62 years, children and family.  He is survived by his three children Darrell (and Sherry) Smith, Marvin Carroll (and Mackelene) Smith, Cheryl Golden (and fiancé Rick Hunter.) 
Darrell's family consists of daughters Tracy (and Weston) Lackey, Michelle (and Eric) Davis, Tiffany (and Ronnie) Dishman, Son Alan (and Kim) Dobbs; grandchildren Simon Lackey, Madison Davis, Dean Davis, Sara Davis, Josh Dishman, Shaylee Dishman, Macy Dishman, Hunter Dishman, Colton Dishman, AbriDobbs.  
Marvin Carroll's family consists of two sons, Alex, who is currently in the Navy and Allen. 
Cheryl Golden's family consists of a daughter, Beverly Golden (and fiancé Mike McQuain); two step kids, Julie Shelton and Turner McQuain of Rupert, W.Va.; a son, Chad (and Tatjana) Golden; a step daughter, Trinity; and a daughter, Chelsea of Crawley, W.Va. 
His brothers and sisters surviving him are Christen (Dodson), Betty (Dodson), Mary (Wesley), Dee Smith, Joe Smith, Paul (and Joyce) Smith, Frank Smith, and Warren Smith.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Flossie and Doolin Smith; two sisters Geneva (Isabell) and Audry (Acey), one son, Allen, and two daughters Wilda and Wilma.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Sellers officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Wednesday at Morris & Hislope Funeral

Creston Vaught
Creston Vaught, age 86 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 in Somerset, Ky. in the presence of his family.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home
with Rev. Donovan Burton officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Woodstock Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Creston Vaught will receive friends at the Pulaski Funeral Home from 11 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 until time for services.
