Somerset —

Lowell Blankenship
Lowell Kenton Blankenship, 79, of Eubank, Kentucky, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Woodstock, Ky., on July 24, 1934, son of the late Lucien Isaac Blankenship and Clyde Beatrice Brown Blankenship. He worked at Southern Belle Dairy his whole life and was a member of Union Church of Christ.
Kenton is survived by one son, Johnny Blankenship; two sisters, Betty Lou (and Vernon) Reynolds and Shelby Jean Thompson, two grandchildren, Chris (and Jenny) Blankenship and Jennifer (and Kenneth) Ashley; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Will and Brady Blankenship; and their grandmother, Marsha Mounce.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Agnes Albright Blankenship, whom he married on May 28, 1955; his parents; one brother, Frankie Blankenship; and one great-grandchild, Dalton Ashley.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.
Burial will be in Woodstock Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Nannie Burdine
Nannie Bell Beasley Burdine, 93, went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at her residence in Somerset, Ky. 
She was born on March 21, 1921 to Alfred and Ava Brown Beasley in Somerset, Ky. She was a homemaker. She loved being around her family, grandchildren, and gardening.
She is survived and blessed by one son, Kenneth (and Sandy) Burdine; three daughters, Ruth Jennings of Somerset, Darlene (and Jim) Monin of Jamestown, and Nellie Bates of Somerset; one brother, Jim Huddleston; one sister, Louise Beasley; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 36 great-great
grandchildren; six great-great-great grandchildren.
Proceeding her in death are her parents; husband of 55 years, Vertie Burdine; a daughter, Anna Mae Hutchinson; and three brothers, Earl, Lonnie, and Raymond Beasley.
