Somerset — Anthony Keith

Anthony "Tony" Wayne Keith, age 46, of Wilmer, Ala. departed this life on

Sat., Jan 11, 2014 in Mobile, Ala.

Tony was born on Feb. 10, 1967 in Cincinnati to Edward and Darlene Canada Keith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a highly decelerated Iraqi Freedom Veteran and a Purple Heart medal recipient. While he served in Iraq, he survived three IED attacks but was left with a broken neck and traumatic brain injury.

He was of the Messianic Jewish Faith and a member of the Congregation Tree of Life Synagogue in Mobile, Ala. Tony loved to tend to his livestock, which included goats and miniature Jersey Cows.

He is survived by his parents, Edward and Darlene Keith of Wilmer, Ala.; his daughter MC3 Margaret Keith, USN from Atlanta; his paternal grandmother, Della Margaret Keith of Denny's Gap, Ky.; a sister Tonia Wooten of Texas; aunts Ella Beene from Indiana, Euetta Morrow, Ky., Justene Foster, Tenn.; and

Uncles, Glen Canada, Ky., Samuel Canada, Ohio; along with numerous cousins.

Preceding Tony in death are his maternal grandparents, Sam and Lela Canada of Ky., and his paternal grandfather, Arvel Keith of Ky.

Visitation will be on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at 12 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ulanda Price officiating.

Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Kidder, Ky. Tony's cousins will serve as pallbearers.

The family requests expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wounded Warriors organization.

Leslie Marcum

Leslie "Chink" Jack Marcum, 68, of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.

Visitation for Mr. Marcum will be on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 6 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 12 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.  Bro. Sean Marcum will officiate.

Interment will be in Tarter Cemetery, Nancy, Ky.

A complete obituary will be published in Sunday, January 19th edition.

Lake Cumberland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Leslie "Chink" Marcum.
