Joe Russell Cash, 86, of Eubank, Ky., passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014.
Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Margaret Huber
Margaret Fern Huber, 64, of Eubank, Ky., passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Danville, Ky., on September 21, 1949, daughter of the late Lester and Marcelene Lee Edington Stevens. She was a homemaker and of the Church of God faith.
She is survived by her husband, Paul J. Huber of Eubank; one son, Brian James Huber of Science Hill; one brother, Dwight Stevens of Somerset; and one grandchild, Laura Renea Huber.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lewis Darrell Stevens.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Brad King officiating.
Burial will be in Pilot Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12 noon Friday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Lexie Hutcherson
Lexie "Pearl" Privet Hutcherson, 90, of Somerset, Ky., passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab Center. 
She was born on March 25, 1923 in in the Dykes Community of Pulaski County, Ky., to the late Claude  and Lela Hargis Randall. 
Lexie was a retired seamstress for Palm Beach Outlet Co. and a member of the Ferguson Baptist Church. She was a Consort of Fashion and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband James "Jim" Hutcherson; two  brothers, Claude Randall Jr. and Joe William Randall; and two sisters, Loraine Dawes and Lillian Randall. 
She is survived by a step-daughter, Nancy Presley of New Orleans; one brother, John Allen Randall (and Sharon Rose) of Morristown, Tenn.; two sisters, Lucille Alexander of Somerset, Ky., and Leda (and Gene) Benge Science Hill, Ky. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great great-nieces and great great-nephews. 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014 after 11 a.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Evans officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. 
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Somerwoods Nursing and Rehab Center Activities Fund, 555 Bourne Avenue, Somerset, Ky., 42501.

Violet Gilliam
Violet Sandlin Hodge Gilliam was born in Owsley County, Ky., on April 5, 1936, the daughter of the late Ezell and Sadie Wilder Sandlin. 
Violet was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Somerset, Ky., and enjoyed donating her time to cleaning and servicing the Kingdom Hall. She never met a stranger and enjoyed preaching the good news, gardening and canning. 
She passed away January 24, 2014 reaching the age of 77 years. She was united in marriage to Earnest Lue Ray Hodge on December 7, 1957, who preceded her in death. To this union two children were born, Earnest James Hodge and his wife Joyce of Monticello, Ky., and Rhonda Sue Haste and her husband Luke of Somerset, Ky.
Violet is survived by her husband Harold Lloyd Gilliam, whom she married on April 13, 1996. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Eric Hodge and wife Kristin, Stephanie Haste, Marty Haste and wife Laura, Christopher Haste and Angela Haste; eight great-grandchildren, Harley, Bailey and Shooter Hodge, David, Matthew, Renae, Barbara and Nevaeh Haste; one brother, Berdette (and Von) Sandlin of Indiana; three sisters, Doris (Hance) Marshall of Booneville, Ky., Irene (and Junior) Lewis of Booneville, Ky., and Brenda (and Ron) Phillips of Columbus, Ohio; step-brother, Bill Day of Cincinnati, Ohio, and step-sister, Helen Lundie of Cincinnati. Ohio. 
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Oliver and Wendall Sandlin; step-brother, Raymond Day, and two infant sisters, Nancy and Corie Sandlin; and step-mother, Susie Sandlin. 
Violet was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1967. 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014 after 5 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Ken Shmidheiser officiating. 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 740 Monticello St., Somerset, Ky., 42501.

John Givens
John Arnold Givens, 83, of Eubank, Ky., departed this life on Monday, January 27, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center.
Visitation for Mr. Givens will be on Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 3 p.m. to
5 p.m., at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 
A Rosary Service will be held at 5 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Father Jeffrey Estacio will officiate the service.  
Full Military Honors will be performed by the American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard.  
Interment will be in the St. Catherine's Cemetery in Genoa, Ill.
The family requests no flowers, please, but expressions of sympathy be made to the Hospice of Lake Cumberland or the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans).

Ruth Jeffers
Ruth Alice Jasper Jeffers, 67, of Nancy, Ky., passed away Monday January 27, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 
She was born on January 4, 1947 in the Slate Branch Community to the late George Galen and Clara Vaughn Jasper. 
Ruth was a member of Slate Branch Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved life to the fullest, loved people, never met a stranger and enjoyed softball, bowling and was an avid Rook player. Ruth was also Co-Owner and Operator and Vice President of Cumberland Service Exterminators and Co-Owner and Vice President of Quest Community Services. She was also Co-Owner and Operator of numerous other enterprises. 
She is preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Michael Jeffers and Greg Jeffers; two brothers, Virgil Jasper and Gayland Jasper; and one sister, Roberta Dykes. 
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Jeffers, whom she married on August 20, 1977 at Denham Street Baptist Church; one son, Jeffrey Lynn Jeffers of Somerset, Ky.; two daughters, Jasmine (and Kevin) Fisher of Nancy, Ky., and Michaele Marx of Anchorage, Ala.; two brothers, Clifford (and Millie) Jasper of the Oak Hill Community and Jimmy (and Michelle) Japser of Somerset, Ky.; four sisters, Doris (and Oscar Woods) Randall of Somerset, Ky., Georgia Lou (and Woody) Hunt of the Blaze Valley Community, Barbara (and David) Burton of Somerset, Ky., and Arlene (and Bert) Young of Somerset, Ky.; grandchildren Sean Jeffers, Natalie Jeffers, Destiny Fisher, Kaden Fisher, Jonathan Baker and Amber Lin Starder. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren; two aunts, Nora Jasper and Sylvia Jasper; two sisters-in-law, Nina Jasper and Norma Jasper; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. David Muse and Bro. Jeff Griffith officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery. 
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Victor Jasper, Travis Rogers, Bryan Rogers, Cliff Jasper, Marty Hunt and Donovan Dykes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Hunt, Kerry Cox and Roger Whitaker. 
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.

Judy Polson
Judy Polson, 56 of the Slate Branch Community passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 
She was born on March 4, 1957 in the Allen Branch Community of Pulaski Co. Ky., to the late Arnold and Opal Mitchell Morrow. 
Judy was a member of the Old Fashion Faith Baptist Church and worked as a CNA for 35 years at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She enjoyed music, dancing, watching TV and loved the Rolling Stones. 
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harold Lee Morrow; and three sisters, Mattie Williams, Mary Preston and Bernice Shelton. 
She is survived by her husband, Danny Polson, whom she married on November 19, 1975; two brothers, Richard Morrow of Somerset, Ky., and Russell (and Mary Jane) Morrow of Bronston, Ky.; two sisters, Eutta Phelps of Somerset, Ky., and Charlene (and Tony) Hall of Bronston, Ky. She is also survived by an aunt, Brenda Taylor of Bourbon Road, and a host of nieces and nephews. 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 after 6 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Riddle officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Southern Oaks Cemetery.

Edith Rowland
 Edith Jewell Mason Rowland, 74, of Kings Mountain, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.
A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky Rodgers officiating the service. 
Burial will follow in Jacobs Hill Cemetery in Waynesburg. 
Pallbearers will be William Rowland, Kristopher Coleman, Cody Blanton, and Dexter, Matthew, and Aaron Padgett. 
The visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the funeral home.

Eugene Watkins
Mr. Eugene Watkins, son of the late Leonard A. and Ada James Watkins, was born October 8, 1928 in Dykes, Ky., and he departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Leitchfield, Ky., having attained the age of 85 years.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Friday, January 31, 2014 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Pace officiating.
Burial will follow in the Mill Springs national Cemetery.  
Millitary honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 38.

Patrick White
Patrick Eugene White, 80, of Nancy, Ky., departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his residence.
Visitation for Mr. White will be on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  
Mr. White's funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jamie Epperson, Bro. Lester Caldwell, Bro. Larry Harris and Bro. Bill Meece officiating.  
Interment will be in the Mill Springs National Cemetery.  Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 38 Honor Guard.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church or to the Gideons International for Bible placement.
