Norma Leveridge
Norma Jean Leveridge, 83 years and 2 days, of Somerset, Ky., retired manager for the Show Place Cinemas, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Somerset, Ky. 
Burial to follow in the Methodist Cemetery in Whitley City. 
The family will receive friends Thursday after 10 a.m. until time of services at the church. 
She was born Feb. 2, 1931 in Somerset, Ky. to Vela (Leveridge) Spradlin. Norma was of the Methodist faith. She worked many years as the manager of Virginia Cinemas and later as the manager for Show Place Cinemas in the mall. 
Preceding her in death is her mother. 
She is survived by her cousins, Don Stricklin and wife, Sybil, Becky Davis and husband, Larry, and Nancy Leveridge; and special friends, Joan and Larry Garner, and Jit and Sue Stogsdill.

Buddy Meece
Buddy Gene Meece, age 81, of Hamilton, Ohio, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014 at Hospice of Hamilton. 
He was born April 22, 1932 in Somerset, Ky., the son of the late James W. and Lucinda Meece. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and married Janis Lou Bedford in 1954. Buddy was employed as a truck driver for Henke's Express, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the Gospel Assembly, and was a devoted Christian who served the Lord for over 50 years. He loved the Cincinnati Reds and was always joking with people. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.   
He is survived by his wife, Janis; three daughters, Kimberly (Allen) Blundell of Trenton, Ohio, Jennifer Slaven of Hamilton, Ohio, and Rachael (William) Whitt of Hamilton, Ohio; a sister, Betty Harris of Somerset, Ky.; grandchildren, Matthew Blundell, Sarah Blundell, Adam (Emily) Blundell, Joshua Slaven, Jacob Slaven, Gabrielle Whitt and Noah Whitt, and Aimee Morley, who he always thought of as his granddaughter; and great-grandchildren, Kylee Blundell, Ava Blundell, Christian Blundell and Aaron Blundell.  
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffrey Meece, who passed in Nov. 1963; brothers, Charles and James Meece; and sisters, Zona Meece, Rebecca Keeney, Odetta Bibee, Viola Bullock, and Mary Mitchell. 
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. 
Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.  
Interment will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Hospice of Hamilton, 1010 Eaton Avenue, Hamilton, Ohio, 45013.

Effie Poling
Effie Alberta “Bertie” Poling, age 79, of Nancy, Ky., departed this life on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at her residence.
Bertie was born on Feb. 5, 1934, in Van Dooser, Mo., to the late Walter E. and Nola Ann Johnson. She was a bus driver for many years for Pulaski County Board of Education. Bertie was of the Protestant faith. She enjoyed crafts, especially quilts and quilting.
Bertie is survived by her daughter, Shirley Graham (and Harold Galloway), of Nancy, Ky.; her stepson, Robert P. (and Sherri) Poling, of Avieda, Fla.; her six grandchildren, Kelly Poe, Matthew Poe, Danny Duty, Valerie Reed, James Anthony, Jr., and David Anthony; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert Poling, who passed away in Jan. of 2008; her stepson, Gregory Poling; her son-in-law, James Anthony; her brother, Don Johnson; and her two sisters, Helen Cantrel and Lavenna Graham.
Visitation for Ms. Poling will be on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 
Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Bro. Randy Wiles will officiate the funeral service.  
Interment will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Kimberlee Rose
Kimberlee Marie Rose, age 49 of Bronston, Ky. passed away on Jan. 29, 2014 in Somerset, Ky.
Funeral services wiull be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home.  The family of Kimberlee Marie Rose will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Friday until time for services.
Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Kimberlee Marie Rose.
 
William Schlake
William Joseph Schlake, age 67, of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Hospice Care Center in Somerset.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at 5 p.m. at St. Mildred's Catholic Church.  
A funeral mass will be held for William Joseph Schlake on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Father Michael Ramler will officiate the mass. 
Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard.  
Interment will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery.  
The Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.

Therese Smith
Therese Smith, age 58 of Nancy, Ky., wife of Wayne Smith, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
