Garry Glover, 64, of Clinton, Tenn., and formerly of Pulaski County, Ky., passed away on Wednesday February 26, 2014.
He was born on January 25, 1950 in Pulaski Co., Ky., to Gilla Glover King and the late James Glover.
Garry was of the Baptist faith.
He is preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Sherri Glover.
He is survived by his mother. One son, Gary James Long; three daughters, Angela Chai, Terri Grote and Amy Reed; six sisters, Glenda Phelps, Scottie Shelton, Judy Vinci, Mayetta Truax, Martha Perry and Lois Terry. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday March 1, 2014 after 1 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Janet Owens, the daughter of Chester Combs and the late Janice Gayheart Combs, was born October 11, 1959 in Hazard, Ky., and she departed this life on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Somerset, Kentucky having attained the age of 54 years.
Survivors include; four children, Trevor Owens (and Donna Marie Couch) of Leslie County, Ky., Tori Owens (and Mark Couch) of Perry County, Ky., Aseyk Wake (and Savanna Mize) of Perry County, Ky., and Cameron Owens (and Kimbar Gieseking) of Pulaski County, Ky.; six grandchildren, Marcus, Brittany, Hunter, Gavin, Cobi, Taylor, Tommy, Jenneveve, and Autumn; and two brothers, Stan and Troy Ackerman.
Janet was a truck driver for several years for Swift Transport. She enjoyed her children, and grandchildren more than life itself. She was a fun loving person and always the life of the party, she was a kind lady who will be greatly missed by her family and friends and leaves a host of relatives who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Janet Owens will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Johnny Lunsford officiating.

Lillie F. Simpson, 77, of Science Hill, Ky., passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in the Ruth community on March 18, 1937, daughter of the late Elmer E. and Amanda E. Brinson Cook. She was a homemaker and a member of Piney Grove no. 1 Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Judy (and Derrick) Whitaker of Science Hill; one brother, Elbert Cook of Illinois; two sisters, Ruth Colyer of Somerset and Wilma Phelps of the White Lily community; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest W. Simpson; her parents; one son, Rodger W. Simpson; one brother, Albert Cook; and seven sisters, Berthie Daniels, Mildred Bray, Dorothy Davis, Verla Adams, Virginia Stogsdill, Zenia Cook and Fannie Snider.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Donald Kennedy officiating.
Burial will be in Simpson Cemetery.

Mary Jane Wesley
Mary Jane Wesley, 86, of Westfield, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at her home.
Mary was born March 2, 1927 in Somerset, Ky., to the late Charles F. and Margaret S. Duncan Denny. Mary graduated from Somerset High School before attending the University of Kentucky.
Mary devoted herself to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love was evident whether she was cooking her family delicious meals or escorting a grandchild on an adventure. Mary enjoyed travel with her husband, from accompanying him on international business trips to weekly picnics at the local parks. Their life moved them frequently, including Ohio, New York, and Canada, before moving to Carmel, and eventually Westfield. Wherever they lived she made a loving and warm home for her family. She was a gifted artist; her paintings hang in honor in the homes of family and friends. Mary was proud of her family heritage. Her research led her to be accepted as a member of the Caroline Scott Harrison Chapter of the DAR. Faith was an important part of Mary’s life; she is a member of Carmel United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years, Rue R. Wesley, Jr., whom she married on December 26, 1946 in Somerset, Ky.; sons, Charles R. (and Patricia), Jon D. (and Deborah) and William T. Wesley; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and brother James G. (and Katherine) Denny.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Margaret C. Kopp; sister, Elizabeth M. Hines; and brothers Charles F., Robert M., and William R. Denny.
Private funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, February 28 at Flanner and Buchanan-Hamilton Memorial Park in Noblesville, Ind., where family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel Golden “K” Kiwanis Club or Carmel United Methodist Church.
