Rosa Roy

Rosa New Roy, age 90 of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Somerset Nursing & Rehabilitation. 
She was born on July 7, 1922 in Pulaski County, Ky. to the late Albert C. and Ollie Foster Young. She was a homemaker. Mrs. New was of the Baptist faith.  
She is survived by three sons, Jimmy New of Somerset, Ky., Roger (and Lisa) New of Somerset, Ky., and Norman (and Juanita) New of Science Hill, Ky.; two daughters, Mathel McKee of Science Hill, Ky. and Brenda (and Russell) Loveless of Science Hill, Ky.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Nina Fagel, Christine Ping and Alphine Kidd.  
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mike "Bud" New, whom she married on April 10, 1941 in Somerset, Ky.; four sons, Lonnie, Ronnie, Russell and Charles New; and four brothers, Elmer, Clayton, Bee and Dale Young.  
Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 6 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Highway 80, Somerset, Ky. 
Her funeral service will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Randy Wiles officiating.
Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
