Lewis Scott Baker, 55, of Nancy, Ky., departed this life on December 24, 2013 at his residence.
Lewis was born on August 1, 1958, in Dayton, OH, to the late Robert Eugene and Janice Marilyn Baker.
A cremation took place at the request of the family, so Lewis' ashes may be scattered in his favorite boating destinations.

Mrs. Odena Meece, age 81 of Somerset, Ky., daughter of the late George Alfred and Ida Jane (Tomlinson) Ping, was born in Somerset, Ky. on March 29, 1932 and departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2013.
Other than her parents, Odena was preceded in death by her husband, Jermiah Robert Meece, who passed away on March 31, 2013; two brothers, Dewey Ping, Wanda Lee Ping; and one sister, Geneva (Ping) Snow.
She is survived by one son, Jerry (and Martha) Meece of White Lily, Ky.; two brothers, Bob (and Wanda) Ping of Science Hill, Ky. and Lawrence Ping of Ohio; and two grandchildren, Cierra and Jacob Meece.
Odena also leaves behind a very special niece, Joyce Slover; and several family and friends who all mourn her passing.
Odena was a homemaker and a member of White Lily Baptist Church, she loved cooking and sewing.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Ernest Warren officiating.
Burial will follow in the White Lily Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Odena Meece will receive friends on Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 after 6 p.m. at the Pulaski Funeral Home.

Mrs. Oveline Sumner, 85, of Somerset, Ky., daughter of the late Piercy and Mable Ballenger Waddle, was born in Alcalde, Ky., on October 11, 1928 and departed this life on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Somerset Nursing & Rehab.
Oveline was united in marriage to Willie “Bill” Sumner on April 24, 1948; he survives.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Haynes.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Hall of Somerset and Ora “Tooter” Higginbotham of Somerset; two nephews, Brad (and Missy) Hall of Somerset and Joey (and Donna) Hall of Somerset; one niece, Julie (and Lee) Taylor of Castle Rock, Colorado; three great-nephews, Aaron Hall, Riley Hall, and Ben
Taylor; one great-niece, Chelsea Taylor and a host of relatives and friends who all mourn her passing.
Oveline was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church in Somerset, Ky. She enjoyed animals, spending time with her cats, children, and baking.

Carter Ray Whittle, 62 of Shopville passed away on Friday December 27, 2013 at his residence.
Carter was born in Nancy on October 17, 1951 to the Late Lawrence and Goldie Stevens Whittle. He is survived by his wife, Carol Gwin Whittle. He is the former owner and operator of Carter’s Body Shop of Somerset.
Visitation for Mr. Whittle will be Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
