Carolyn Marcum
Carolyn Sue Marcum, age 73, of New Castle, Ind. passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Indiana University Hospital Saxony in Fishers, Ind. 
She was born Oct. 26, 1940 in Science Hill, Ky., a daughter of the late William and Anna Wesley Langdon. She was a lifelong New Castle resident, and attended New Castle schools. She was a member of the Spiceland Pike Church of God and had attended the Grand Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Marcum had worked for Dana Corporation in Hagerstown. She loved family activities, and sharing time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing golf and “antiquing.” She was also a member of the Perfect Circle Ladies Association. 
Left to cherish her loving memory are three daughters, Terry Massengale (husband David) of New Castle, Kim Criswell of New Castle, and Lana Hammond (husband Chris) of New Castle; seven grandchildren, Michael Criswell (wife Kim) of New Castle, Jason Massengale (wife Jenny) of New Castle, Kara Gorney (husband Michael) of New Castle, Melissa Marcum of New Castle, Eric Marcum (wife Carly) of Nashville, Tenn., Justin Hammond of New Castle, and Brandon Hammond of New Castle; seven great-grandchildren, Samantha Massengale of New Castle, Ian Massengale of New Castle, Austin Criswell of New Castle, Trinton Massengale of New Castle, Caden Hammond of New Castle, Maci Marcum of New Castle, and Brayden Marcum of New Castle; two sisters, Betty Neal of New Castle and
Barbara McCarty (husband Kenny) of New Castle; sister-in-law, Pat Langdon of New Castle; special friend, Bud Frost of New Castle; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Greg Marcum; one brother, Bill Langdon; and one sister, Irene Paul.
A funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the funeral home with Rev. Tony Piper and Reverend Henry Weaver officiating.
