Rosemary Cassada

Rosemary Cassada, 87, of Somerset passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at Somerwoods Nursing & Rehab.
She was born Jan. 4, 1925 in McCreary County, Ky. to the late George Arthur and Molly Long Kidd.  Rosemary was married Feb. 16, 1946 in Somerset to Ira Cassada. She loved gospel music. Raising her  
children and taking care of her disabled sons was the joy of her life. She was a member of Heritage Hope Church of God.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sons, Ronnie and Marvin Cassada; her sisters, Pearl Sears, Gertrude Hall; and brothers, Carl Kidd and Oren Kidd.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn (Herschel) Rainwater of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jerry Cassada of Somerset, Ky., David Cassada of Somerset, Ky., Shelia Oakes of Russell Springs, Ky., Gerald Wayne Cassada of Somerset, Ky.; brother, Roy Kidd of Somerset, Ky.; grandchildren, Stacy Ewin, Herschel Rainwater, Jr., Billy Rainwater, Paul Rainwater, Thomas Fiddler, and Alex Oakes; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 12, 2013 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory.
A celebration honoring the life of Rosemary Cassada will be Sunday, May 12 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Co. & Crematory with Rev. Greg Hughes officiating.
Interment will be in West Somerset Cemetery.
