Georgia Marie Flynn, 78, of Science Hill, Ky., passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Jean Waddle Care Center at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born in Pulaski County on April 24, 1935, the daughter of the late William Henry Turner and Ruth Ellen Gibson Turner. Georgia was united in marriage to the late Arvle William Flynn on June 11, 1955, in Rossville, Ga. To this union was born one son, Arvle Ray Flynn (and Joy) of Somerset, Ky.
She is also survived by three granddaughters, Mikki Flynn, Kristen Gibson (and Kris) and Aarika Flynn; five great-grandchildren, Brady Kristopher Gibson, Ella Kate Gibson, Sophia Jane Gibson, Peyton Elliott Philippi and Joy Elise Flynn; two brothers, Steve Turner of Somerset, Ky., Marshall Turner of Blanchester, Ohio and three sisters, Lois Brown of Somerset, Ky., Lucille Goff of Harrison, Ohio and Dorothy Cooper of Somerset, Ky.
Georgia was a member of Pitman Creek Baptist Church and had attended the First Baptist Church of Science Hill, Ky. She enjoyed the outdoors, working in her flower garden and caring for her indoor plants. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory.
A service celebrating the life of Georgia Marie Flynn will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory.
Burial will follow in the Mill Springs National Cemetery at Nancy, Ky.

June Hyden Sears
Mrs. June C. Hyden Sears, daughter of the late Charles and Wilma Lucille Farmer Hyden, was born September 24, 1945 at Ula, Kentucky and she departed this life on November 22, 2013, having attained the age of 68 years.
She was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Sears. He survives. Other survivors include three children, Charles Christopher (and Barbara) Sears of Somerset, Ky.; Cheryl (and William) Claxton of Somerset, Ky., and Darren Sears of Nancy, Ky.; two brothers, Wendell (and Shirley Lynn) Hyden and Bruce (and Carmen) Hyden all of Somerset, Ky.; the following grandchildren, Chantel Meece, Mariah June Sears, Brittany Bell, Jackie Gregory, Melinda Bunch, Hayley Murphy, Audi Robert Murphy, Noah Sears, and Mikey Sears; three great grandchildren, Braxton Cole Patterson, and Cole Gregory and Corie Gregory; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Sears, and one sister, Diane Hyden Cox.
June worked as a seamstress for Palm Beach Manufacturing for more than 30 years. She enjoyed painting, and being around her friends and family. She was a loving woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Dalous Sears officiating.
Burial will follow in the Goodwater Cemetery.
