Edna Knight

 

Edna M. Knight, 86, wife of L.D. Knight, Harrodsburg, died Monday, September 10, 2012 at her home after a brief illness. 
Born July 23, 1926 in Louisville, she was the daughter of the late Lovell E. and Mary Phillips Marks. She received her AB Degree, Magna Cum Laude, at Georgetown College and a Master's Degree from Western Kentucky University; she was a mathematics teacher for 15 years at Calhoun High School and for 16 years at Harrodsburg High School, a member of the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, Mercer County Retired Teachers Association and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She was active in her church and served as organist for Calhoun Baptist Church for 16 years. She enjoyed golf, exercising, and winter vacations in Naples, Florida.
    Survivors other than her husband include two sons, Dr. Robert (and Linda) Knight, Owensboro and the Honorable Mark (and Pam) Knight, Somerset; one sister, Ann Marks Foster, Bardstown; and four grandchildren, Andrew (and Sarah) Knight, Lexington, Jay (and Missy) Knight, Nashville, Matthew (and Sarah) Knight, Somerset and Katie (and Nic) Hoelscher, Lexington; and seven great-grandchildren.
  Memorial services will be held 12:30 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Harrodsburg Baptist Church by Dr. Robert W. DeFoor and Bro. Eddie Russell. 
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. 
Interment will also be Monday, September 17, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the Bardstown Cemetery located on the 800 Block of North Third Street in Bardstown, Ky.
