Cynthia Carman 
Cynthia Mae Carman, 53, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Saturday, February 22 in Somerset.
Cynthia was born in Somerset on August 7, 1960, a daughter of Wilma Baker Wilson of Faubush, Ky., and the late Clinton Lee Baker. She was of the Baptist faith.
Cynthia is survived by her step-father, Delano “Bloss” Wilson, Faubush; three daughters, Renee (and Matthew) Becker of Alexandria, Ky., Kris Bullock, of Alexandria, and Robbi Danielle (and Tom) Neely, of Crittenden, Ky.; a son Clinton James Delano Bullock, of Flemingsburg, Ky. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and a brother, Bill (and Tammy) Baker, of Faubush, Ky.
Funeral services will be at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Russell Springs, Ky., 42642, at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 24, with Bro. Garlin Wilson officiating.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Monday at Wilson Funeral Home.
Joe Claunch
Joe Howard Claunch, 93, departed this life on February 23, 2014 at his residence in Somerset.
Joe Howard was born in Burnside on November 17, 1920 to the late Joe Hopper and Nancy Gibson Claunch. Joe Howard was a member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church at the time of his passing, but had been raised and attended Pisgah Presbyterian Church for many years. Joe Howard was an accomplished pianist and played at Pisgah for a number of years. He also attended Pisgah School and later graduated from Nancy High School in 1939. He also was a graduate of the Rogers School of Business in Somerset. A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army ending his three and one-half year service at Camp White, Oregon.
He retired in 1999 after more than 50 years of service with Somerset Refinery. He served as president of the affiliated crude oil company, South Kentucky Purchasing Company, Inc. for many years.
