Obituaries for Tuesday, February 25, 2014


He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bessie Ann Molen Claunch, and three children: Jerry Claunch and his wife Sue, Connie Woodall and her husband Jim, and Lisa Claunch. He is also survived by grandchildren Evan (and Alison) Claunch, Jamie (and Christy) Woodall, Josh (and Adrienne) Woodall, Jessica (and Eric) Taylor, and six great-children. Sister-in-law Anna Jane Claunch Massey also survives.  
He was preceded in death by grandson Jimmy Woodall, as well as his brothers and their wives: Harry Claunch, Reid (and Jean) Claunch, Eugene (and Punkin) Claunch, and Bob Claunch. 
Visitation for Joe Howard Claunch will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company.  
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company, with Bro. C.E. Jacobs officiating.  
Interment will follow at the Pisgah Presbyterian Church cemetery.  
Pallbearers will be Evan Claunch, Doug Claunch, Tommy Claunch, Mike Stigall, Richard Stigall and Jamie Woodall.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Pisgah Presbyterian Church Cemetery or Hospice of Lake Cumberland.  
Donna Hinkle
Donna Hinkle, 61, of Burnside, Ky. passed away on Saturday February 22, 2014 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. 
She was born on February 14, 1953 in Burnside, Ky., to the late James and Kathleen Flynn Walden. 
Donna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Burnside, worked for Wal-Mart for 36 years and was a graduate of Burnside High School in 1971. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, watching UK Basketball, spoiling her granddaughters, shopping, watching mud bogging and crocheting. 
She is preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Dwight Helton, Jr. 
She is survived by her husband, Vola "Toby" Hinkle, whom she married on July 24, 1970 in Burnside, Ky.; one son, James Ray (and Angel) Hinkle of Bronston, Ky.; one daughter, Teana Nicole (and Joey Cambron) Hinkle of Burnside, Ky.; one brother, J.C. (JoAnn) Walden of Bronston, Ky.; one sister, Betty Jane (and Dwight) Helton of Danville, Ky.; and many others who were like sisters, Emma Branum of Bronston, Ky., Linda (Leroy) Goldson of Burnside, Ky., Sheila Hansford of Somerset, Ky., and Delora Tibblas of Oneida, Tenn. She was also survived by four granddaughters, Logan Paige Hinkle, Jordan Elizabeth Hinkle, Cydney Jade Hinkle, Raylee Jo Cambron; and several nieces and cousins.
