Eddie Steele

Somerset —  

Eddie O. Steele, 44, of Science Hill, Ky., passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in New Carlisle, Ohio on October 18, 1968, son of Jean Reynolds Gammel and the late Eddie Steele. He was a member of Science Hill Christian Church and a die hard Kentucky Wildcat fan.  He was a jailer for the Lincoln County Jail.
He leaves behind a loving wife, De`Sha Thomas Steele; two daughters, Autuam LaPaige King and Kyra Hayley Steele; a son, Travis Caden Steele; and a precious granddaughter, Kaylix LaSha Greene, all of Science Hill. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Jean Gammel and step-father Mark Gammel; his mother-in-law, Nancy Thomas (and Bill Havens); a sister-in-law, Renea Thomas (and Norman Greene); three brothers-in-law, Kevin Thomas, Kody Thomas and Michael Miller, all of Illinois; a special like-son, Patrick Greene; many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Steele; maternal grandparents, Ossie and Dennis Reynolds, paternal grandparents, Freddie and Mary Steele, his father-in-law, Mitchell Thomas and his very special cousin and chosen brother, Travis Carless Reynolds.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Friday, November 16, 2012 at Science Hill Christian Church with Bro. Charles Lucas officiating.
Burial will be in Science Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today at the church.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
