Carl Begley
Carl Reuben Begley, 70, of Corbin, husband of Ora Bowling Begley, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Baptist Health in Corbin.  
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2014 at Bowling Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Barnesburg Cemetery in Somerset. 
Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  
Military honors by the local DAV.
 
Farmer Collett Jr.
Farmer J. Collett, Jr., age 54, of Nancy, departed this life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 4 p.m. at the Bowens Creek Cemetery in Essie, Ky. of Leslie County. Bro. Eugene "Friday" Roberts officiated the graveside service.

Elsie Frederick
Elsie M. Frederick, 69, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014.  
A funeral service will be held at 11 at a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. 
Barnett & Demrow Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 
 
Brenda Hudson
Brenda Kay Hudson, age 61, of Burnside, departed this life on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at her residence.
Brenda was born on July 11, 1952, in Marion, Ind. to the late Lloyd and Deltia Baker. She married John Hudson on Nov. 1, 1983 in Marion, Ind. She was of the Baptist faith, being a member of the Sloans Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Brenda was a member of the American Legion.
She is survived by her husband, John; her sons, Robert (and Melissa) Gatchel, of Burnside, and Kenneth (and Rosie) Gatchel, of Wabash, Ind.; her daughters, Michelle Burge (and Tina Justice), of Ferguson and Ann (and Jamey) Page, of Peru, Ind.; and daughter-in-law, Ashley Gatchel, of Burnside; brothers, Robert (and Marilyn) Baker, of Brooksville, Fla. and David (and Cindy) Baker, of Ka.; her sister, Judy (and Bill) Ellis, of Marion, Ind.; and 15 grandchildren, Ashley, John, Katlyn, Ben, Brittany, Nathaniel, Brad, Brandon, Kyle, Autumn, Blake, Nevaeh, Rheanna, Cody and Ethan.
