Lois Adams
Lois June Adams, 78, of Independence, Ky., passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014.
Arrangements are pending and will be announced later by Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Judy Gossett
Mrs. Judy Gossett, 71, of Nancy, Ky., departed this life on Sunday, April 27, 2014.
A funeral  service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with Bro. Murrell Crockett officiating.
Burial will follow in the Caintown Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014  at the Pulaski Funeral Home.
Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mrs. Judy Gossett.
Fannie Meadows
Fannie Meadows, 73, of Nancy, Ky., passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center. 
She was a member of the Denham Street Baptist Church. 
Her husband, Richard T. Meadows Sr. precedes her in death. 
Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 30, 2014 after 6pm in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 12pm in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. 
Graveside services will be in the Meadows Cemetery in Powell County, Ky. on Friday May 2, 2014 at 12 p.m. 
A complete obituary will be published in Wednesday's edition of the Commonwealth Journal. 
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 
Donald Scantland
Donald Ray Scantland, 73, of Nancy, Ky. passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his residence. 
Mr. Scantland was born to the late Harlin Winters Scantland and Martha Coffee Scantland on January 13, 1941 in Jackson County, Tenn.. He served in the United States Navy and retired from General Motors in Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and the outdoors.
