William Delbert Phelps

Somerset — Mr. William Delbert Phelps was born on Aug. 11, 1939 in Wilburn, Ky., son of the late Nora Harp and Cecil Delbert Phelps and he departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at his residence.

He was of the Holiness faith and loved to sing. Family Ties was one of his favorite songs.

He is survived by two sisters, Betty Jean (and Everett) West, and Janet Phelps (and Veacher Yadon) all of Somerset, Ky.; and one brother, Donald Ray (and Patricia) Phelps of Danville, Ky.  

He also leaves behind three nieces, Vivian (and Sylvester) Scott of Vernon, Fla., Dinah (and Lloyd) Ratliff of Somerset, Ky. and Nora Phelps of Lexington, Ky.; four nephews, Anthony (and Annette) West, Maurice “M.E.” (and Christy) West of Shepherdsville, Ky., Donnie Clay Phelps of Russell Springs, Ky., and Delreese Phelps of Somerset.

He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Judy May Phelps and Doris Marie Doss; and one niece, Karen Jeanette West.

Private services will be held on Friday.

Pulaski Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of all arrangements for Mr. William Delbert Phelps.
