Roger P. Bandiera, 61, a resident of Somerset Nursing & Rehab, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He was born in Wilmington, Del. on June 26, 1952, son of the late Victor and Mary Clementoni Bandiera. He was a TSA Agent for the Fort Lauderdale Airport.
He is survived by one brother, Anthony (and Laurie) Bandiera of Somerset, Ky.; one sister, Victoria (and Kenneth) Head of Science Hill, Ky.; a nephew, David (and Christine) Head; three nieces, Jael (and Sam) Nichols, Elizabeth (and Landon) West and Andrea Bandiera; an aunt, Elizabeth Dobies of Danville, Ky.; and numerous cousins and friends.
A private funeral service will be held among family and friends.
Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens.
The family request donations to be given to the American Diabetes Association.

Faye Lawson, age 89, of Somerset, Ky. departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 at her residence.
Faye was born on Aug. 23, 1924, in the Squib community to the late James Robert and Oma Dugger Whitaker. She married William Leon Lawson in Jamestown, Ky. on Oct. 28, 1950. Faye was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Jerry Nix and Gary Lawson; two daughters, Sheila Lawson and Deloris Lawson; one brother, Ferrell Whitaker; and one great-grandson, Cody Nix.
Visitation for Mrs. Lawson will be on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
There will be a visitation on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at the funeral home chapel one hour before the
11 a.m. service time. Bro. Rick Lawson and Bro. Scotty Nix will officiate the funeral service.
Interment will be in the Whitaker Cemetery.
Faye's grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Zula E. Morris, age 76, of Somerset, Ky. departed this life on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Zula was born on New Years Day of 1938 to the late Edgar P. and Amanda Laura Meece in Somerset, Ky. She was the wife of the late Raleigh Morris. They had five children from their union. She was a retired employee of Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Zula was a faithful member of Grave Hill Baptist Church and loved attending as long as her health permitted. She loved taking cruises.
She is survived by her sons, David Morris, of Nancy, and Thomas Glen (and Rita) Morris, of Science Hill; her daughters, Cheryl (and Allen) Kidd, of Somerset, and Pamela (and David) Hilter, of Ocachobee, Fla.; her brother, Eugene Meece, of Somerset, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Zula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raleigh; their son, Edwin Lee Morris; her brothers, Harold, William C., James A. and Bobby Meece; and her two sisters, Elizabeth A. Meece and Marie Ramsey.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for family and friends at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Zula's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Bro. David Morris and Bro. David Green will officiate the funeral service.
Interment will be in the Grave Hill Cemetery in Tateville.

Flonnia F. Roberds, age 85, of Somerset, Ky. and Dayton, Ohio, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.
She was born on April 6, 1928 in Evarts, Ky. to the late L.P. Fuson and Lillie Goins Fuson. She was a loving and devoted mother to her two sons, Michael Roberds and Andrew Roberds. A retired local businesswoman, she was also a professional judge and adjudicated at various artistic venues throughout the United States in the field of ceramics. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Oleika Shriners of Lexington, Ky., a lifetime-active member of the Mid-West Ceramic Association of Dayton, Ohio, and she was a supporter of the Shriners Hospital System.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Andrew; one brother-in-law, Fred, and wife Betty Roberds; two sisters-in-law, Sara Nell Fuson and Edith Fuson; loving K-9 companions, Savana and Sasha Roberds; along with numerous nieces and nephews; a special friend, Linda Pinion; and several extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Roberds; her parents; three sisters, Dora E. Fuson, Sarah Mossie Kirkendall and Frances E. Johnson; and five brothers, Joe C., Chester E., Arthur E., Lee Roy and Estill Fuson.
The family extends sincere appreciation of her special caregivers, Melanie and Kim.
Visitation for Flonnia Roberds will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Kim Tarter, age 47 of Somerset, Ky. passed away on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on April 16, 1966 in Midland, Texas to Janice Stephens Tarter of Somerset, Ky.
Kim was a Transporter for R-TEC for 15 years and she was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Alonzo and Mary Stephens, and John and Gertrude Tarter.
She is survived by her mother; one daughter, Ashley Tarter of Somerset, Ky.; one brother, Byron (Penny) Brown of Somerset, Ky.; one sister, Loretta (Tiger) Robinson of Somerset, Ky.; one uncle, Danny (Clarene) Stephens of Nancy, Ky.; and four aunts, Debbie (Darrell) Cain, Birtha (Dale) Burton, Pam (Darrell) Burton and Dianna Pitman, all of Nancy, Ky.
She is also survived by two nephews, Kyle Flynn and Hunter Brown; one niece, Leanna Robinson; one great-nephew, Mazen Flynn; and a special friend who was like a sister, Teresa Chumbley of Russell Springs, Ky.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 after 11 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Gilbert Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
