Henry Lewis Cash, 84, of Florence, S.C., formerly of Somerset, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the McLeod Hospice House, following a short illness.
Mr. Cash was born in Somerset, Ky., to the late Carl Reed Cash and Ruby Leech Cash. He was a graduate of Somerset High School and the University of Kentucky. He was a former marine, a retired accountant and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Florence, S.C.
Mr. Cash is survived by his wife of 63 years, Christine Meece Cash; a daughter, Debbie (and Jim) McGough, of Morganton, N.C.; a son, Rick (and Tracy) Cash, of Florence, S.C.; three grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise Nell Ellington, of Somerset, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents; one brother, Robert Cash; and three sisters, Juanita Massey, Mae Cash and Kathleen Street.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, in Florence, S.C., on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 3:00pm.  
Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ada Hurt
Ada Jewell Hurt, 103, was born November 26, 1910 in Alva, Okla., the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna Long Randolph. She passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at the Wayne County Hospital.
 In 1940, she united in marriage with her husband: Alonzo Hurt who passed away October 8, 1987. To this 47 year union, one son survives, Winfrey and his wife Helen Hurt. Also surviving are two
granddaughters, Chasidy and husband Darin Chriswell and DeAnna and husband Kim Worley; and four
great-grandchildren, Brennan, Brylee and Braylon Chriswell and Kaeden Worley
 At the age of 16, she accepted Christ as her Savior and became a member of the East
Somerset Baptist Church. On December 19, 1960 she united with the Cooper Baptist Church where she remained faithful until her passing.
Services will be at 2 p.m on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the funeral home chapel at Hickey & Son Funeral Home in Monticello, Ky. Bro. Gary Campbell and Bro. Mike Smedley are officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Elk Spring Cemetery.
