James Luttrell

James Kevin Luttrell, 50, of Bronston, Ky. passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the University of Louisville Hospital Stoke Center following a sudden illness. 
He was a Kentucky State Retiree and he had been employed with Southern Petroleum/ Southern Services for the past seven years. 
James was an avid horseman, having been involved with horses since a young age. He was active in showing racking horses, was a life-time member and Board of Director for The Central Kentucky Racking Horse Association. He was also active with the Racking Horse Breeders Association of America, and had been a member and strong supporter of that association for the last 12 years. He was a member of the Tuttle's Chapel United Methodist Church.
James was born in Somerset on June 17, 1963, the son of the late Malcolm “MG” and Juanita Luttrell, and the son- in-law of the late Willie and Clara Rigney. 
He was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Greene Luttrell, in addition to his grandparents.
James is survived by his loving wife Sylvia Jean Luttrell, whom he married on May 26, 1995; and their son, Barry William Troxtell. 
He is also survived by his siblings, Pat (Kenny) Cress, Pam (Bill) Clark and Donnie (Carol) Luttrell, all of Somerset, and Malcolm (Betty) Luttrell of Bronston. 
He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and friends who will mourn his passing. 
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Southern Oaks Funeral Home. 
Burial will be in the Tuttle Chapel Cemetery.    
Southern Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
