Asberry King, 55, of Somerset, Ky. passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Pontiac, Mich. on Aug. 8, 1957, son of the late Mountie and Juanell Goad King. He was a drywall finisher for A-OK Drywall.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Tatro King of Somerset; five children, Brandy (and Ricky) Cox of Fla., Asberry King and Carrie Cripps, both of Mich., and David Ashton and Jeremy Ashton, both of Eubank; three sisters, Shirley Hoffman of Fla., and Debbie (and Dennis) Chambers and Beverly (and Norman) Taylor, both of Mich.; several grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and many great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Illesa Ashton; brother-in-law, Ronald Hoffman; and two sisters, Patricia King and Katherine Rogers.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Etna Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Sunday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
