Eva Sams

Eva Sams, 105, of Somerset, formerly of Richmond, passed away Thursday, May  30, 2013 at Cumberland Nursing Rehab Center of Somerset, Ky.
Mrs. Sams was born Nov. 5, 1907, at Valley View, Ky., in Madison County to Dave and Erella Beasley Perkins, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the widow of Chester and a homemaker. Mrs. Sams was the oldest member of Valley View Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Billy Sams of Somerset; and four nieces, Helen Perkins, Margarette Perkins, both of Springfield, Mass., Jean Daugherty of Lexington, and Lillian of Rochester, Ky. 
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. 
Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time on Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Bell, Wayne Perkins, Wesley Hager and Ray Dargavell.
