Somerset — Wayne Ard
Wayne Morgan Ard, age 65, of Faubush, Ky., departed this life on Friday, Oct. 11, 2013 at his residence.
Wayne was born on March 19, 1948 in Faubush, Ky. to the late Thomas “Frog” Ard and Ersie (Johnson) Ard. He was a member of Smith Grove United Baptist Church, was a past Master of Sievers Lodge #491 of Nancy, Ky., was a past Patron and member of Fidelis Chapter #545 Order of the Eastern Star of Nancy, Ky., and he was a Deputy Jailer at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
He is survived by his wife, Anita (Carender) Ard; three sons, Roger (and Michelle) Ard of New Albany, Ind., Clinton (and Julie) Ard of Munich, Germany and John Ard of Faubush, Ky.; one daughter, Staci (and Michael) West of Grantville, Ga.; two brothers, Dormas (and Mary Lou) Ard of Faubush, Ky. and Ralph (and Theresa) Ard of Faubush, Ky.; and four grandchildren, Zachery Ard, Bentley West, Zoe Ard and Sophie Ard.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Geraldine Cox.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at 5 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
Sievers Masonic Lodge #491 and Fidelis Chapter #545 Order of the Eastern Star of Nancy, Ky., will begin Masonic Rites Sunday at 7 p.m.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Brother Jim Robinson officiating and Clinton Ard delivering the eulogy.
Burial will be at Smith Grove United Baptist Cemetery in Faubush, Ky.
Pallbearers will be Buddy Williams, Lowel Gene Roy, Chris Morrow, Jeff Gregory, Paul Wilson and Waylon Wright. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnnie McGowan, Doyle Turner, Johnny Denney, Russell Johnson and Frank Daulton.
