Somerset — Lucy Baugh

Lucy Gaddis Baugh, 82, of Science Hill, Ky., passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in Mt. Zion, Kentucky on March 8, 1931, daughter of the late William Clayton and Pearl Taylor Gaddis. She retired from Kingsford Charcoal Company and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Elwin Dee Baugh, whom she married on October 27, 1951; one son, Elwin Lee "Jay" Baugh of Science Hill; one daughter, Billie June (and Mike) Stickle of Navarre, Fla.; one brother, William (and Shirley) Gaddis of Eubank; four sisters, Hattie Dabney of Burnside, Dorothy

Turner of Somerset, Betty Loveless of Science Hill and Jackie Wesley of Eubank; two grandchildren, David Jerome Girdler and Crystal Holovack; and great-grandson, Devon Girdler.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Brenda Russell; one brother, James Raymond Gaddis; and great-granddaughter, Allison Price.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Troy Merrick officiating.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 12 noon today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Patricia Reid

Patricia "Sis" Baker Hodge Reid, 60, of Bronston, Ky., passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014.

She was born in Somerset, Ky., on January 27, 1954, daughter of Fred V. Baker and the late Fay Harness Baker. She was head cashier for Lowe's of Somerset and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting, bird watching, making candy, baking, gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her father, Fred V. Baker of Somerset; one son, Scott (and Raina) Hodge of Nancy; one brother, Vernon (and Shelia) Baker of Somerset; one sister, Jannie Baker of Somerset; two granddaughters, Abbie Hodge and Brittany Halcomb; two nieces, Tammy (and Mark) Catron of Science Hill and Amanda (and Frank) Feltner of Somerset; great-niece, Markie Beth Catron; and great-nephew Macen Catron.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Fay Baker.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ferlin Price officiating.

Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 6 PM today, Saturday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Donations may be made to the Ringgold Cemetery Fund.
