Linda Davis
Linda Lou Davis, 68, of Nancy, Ky., departed this life on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Linda was born on March 19, 1945 in Nancy, Ky., to the late Carson and Lily Mcgowan Moran. She was a seamstress at Palm Beach Company in Somerset for over 20 years. She was of the Holiness faith, attending the Church of God.
She is survived by her sons, Audie (and Dorothy) Davis, of Somerset, Ky., and Anthony Davis, of Lebanon, Ky.; her daughters, Teresa (and Darrell) Logan, of Waynesburg, Ky., and Michelle (and Raymond) Davis, of Eubank, Ky.; two brothers, Roger (and Pat) Moran, of Indiana, and Phillip (and Loretta) Moran, of Somerset, Ky.; three sisters, Leva (and Verlin) Clottfelter, of Lafollette, Tenn., Alta (and Johnny) Zimmerman, of Jamestown, Ky., and Sylvia Ping, of Somerset, KY; three grandchildren, Amber Craft, of Eubank, Ky., Deidre Davis, of Sheboygan, Wisc., and James Andrew Logan, of Somerset, Ky.; one great-grandson, Johnny Irvin Kirkpatrick, of Somerset, Ky.; and a special companion, Harold Call, of Waynesburg, KY.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, George Moran, Woodrow Moran and Lindsey Moran.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. 
Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. with Brother Harold Rose officiating.  
Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.  
Pallbearers will be Andrew Logan, Shane Davis, Raymond Smith, Scott Craft, Jeff Huff and Audie Davis.

James Hoover
James "Jim" Hoover, 73, of Brodhead, Ky., passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Kings Mt., Ky., on October 27, 1940, son of the late Marshall and Allie Martin Hoover.  He was a veteran of the Korean war, serving in the U.S. Air Force.  He was a retired trim carpenter and
craftsman of all trade. He wrote songs, music and poetry of all kinds and could play any musical instruments he wanted. He was president of foster parents for a few years.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson and showing it and also loved flying airplanes. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shirley Pence Hoover, whom he married on August 20, 1970; one daughter, Shena Hensley; and two granddaughters, Latosha and Cheyene Hensley. He loved all of them very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Beulah Hoover.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2013 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Slade Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Etna Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 6 PM today, Thursday at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.

Imogene Turner
Imogene Turner, 67, of Somerset, Ky., departed this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
Imogene was born on November 18, 1946, in Somerset, Ky., to the late William Harvey and Ida Mae Smith Jennings. She married Marvin “Buck” Turner in Monticello, KY, on October 12, 1963.  Imogene was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Marvin; their daughter, Thelma Jean (and fiancée Dale Lee Dobbs) Turner, of Somerset, Ky.; two brothers, Johnny Jennings, of Nancy, KY, and Benny Jennings, of Faubush, Ky.; three sisters, Helen Turner, Betty Cornett and Gypsy Jennings, all of Somerset, Ky.; and her three grandchildren, Amanda Hancock, Dustin Turner and Matthew Dobbs.
Imogene is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Kenneth Jennings; and two half-brothers, James L. Jennings and Harvey D. Jennings.
Visitation for Imogene will be on Friday, December 13, 2013, at 12 p.m. at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.  
Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2 p.m. Bro. Randy Wiles will officiate the funeral service. Interment will be in the Tanner Cemetery.
