Delma Gambill

Somerset —  

Delma "June" Mize Gambill, 72, of Somerset, Ky., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012 at Cumberland Nursing & Rehab.
She was born in Ula, Ky. on Sept. 10, 1940, daughter of the late Lawrence and Alma Hargis Mize.  
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (and Doug) Phelps of Shopville and Patricia (and Nick) Stampter of Bartlett, Tenn.; two sons, William Gambill of Shopville and Timothy (and Porshia) Gambill of Somerset; five grandchildren, Nick Stamper, Carrie Phelps, Shauna Stamper, Shavannah Stamper and Parker Gambill; and one great-grandson, JD Wright. 
She is also survived by four brothers, Charles (and Bonnie) Mize and Clifford (and Jerry) Mize, both of
Somerset, and Phil (and Linda) Mize and Vaughn (and Maggie) Mize, both of Shopville; four sisters, Doris Phelps of Troy, Mo., Joyce Fern Meyer of Shopville, and Barbara (and Jerry) Wall and Nancy Sears, both of Somerset. 
She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, cousins and friends to mourn her passing and celebrate her homecoming. 
The family would like to thank Cumberland Nursing & Rehab for all their care, love and support.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Freddie Mize; one sister, Debora Mize; and one grandson, Shaun Stamper.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Tarter officiating.
Burial will be in Whetstone Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 12 p.m. today at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Donations may be made to the Whetstone Cemetery fund.
Morris & Hislope Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
