Lois Smith

In October of 2000, Lois moved to Michigan with her only child, Karen and her husband. Lois and Karen were a twosome during the day, showing up at quilting groups, art classes, shopping and visiting with old friends and family. You should have seen her climbing in and "sitting shotgun" in Karen's black GMC Sierra truck and heading off for the day's activities.
Without our knowing it, Lewy Body Dementia was creeping up on her then and we were lucky to have her active and with all her abilities in tact for just about two years.
Burial and a memorial service, to celebrate Lois' life, will take place at Lakeside Memorial Gardens Chapel in Somerset, Ky., on a yet-to-be-determined date in the spring of 2013.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Association., or the Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Dr., Somerset, Ky., 679-4389. Obituary courtesy of Pulaski Funeral Home.
