Barker & Sells united in marriage

The marriage of Jenna Kathleen Barker and Russell Wayne Sells II took place Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Macedonia Christian Church in Lexington, Ky.
Ms. Barker is the daughter of Rex and Paula Barker of Richmond, Ky., and the granddaughter of Kathleen (Harold) Miller of Ferguson, Ky., and Wanda (Weldon) Barker Nielson of Somerset, Ky.
She is a graduate of Madison Central High School and received her bachelor and master degrees from the University of Kentucky.
She is employed by Fayette County.
The groom is the son of Russell Sells and the late Deborah Sells of Glasgow, Ky. He is the grandson of Creola (Orville) Richard of Albany, Ky., and Willie Earl and Joyce Sells of Burkesville, Ky.
The groom is a graduate of Barren County High School and Eastern Kentucky University.
He is employed by S & R Air Power.
Mark Dunn officiated the ceremony.
Jackson Haltom, cousin of the bride, served as acolyte.
Rachel Haltom (cousin of the bride) read scripture.
Nuptial music and love songs were by Bill Cooper and Jim Olive.
A memory video of the couple was shown.
The bride wore a cream satin gown with lace bodice and tie ribbon back.
She carried fresh white roses.
Danielle Ravencraft, matron of honor, and bridesmaids Kat Lynn, Kristin Land and Kim Quach wore black chiffon gowns and carried white roses and lilies.
The flower girls, Ella Wofford (cousin of the groom) and Destany Wheeler (niece of the groom) wore blue satin gowns.
Brittany Nathanson and Jayne Miller were attendants.
The groom wore a black tux and cream vest.
Ben Shaffer, best man, and groomsmen Brian Thomas, Glen Cain and Sean Daniels (brother of the groom), as well as ushers Thomas Barker (brother of the bride) and Philipp Zipf wore black tuxes with blue vests.
The ring bearer, Coleman Shafer, rode in a blue wagon pulled by the flower girls.
A reception with dinner and dancing was held at the Spring Valley Club.
The decor of black tablecloths, flowers and twinkling lights was coordinated by Nichole Shaffer.
The colors, powder blue and black, were used throughout the wedding.
The wedding cake with blue ribbons and the groom’s cake of golf clubs were by Tina Taylor (aunt of the groom).
The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
They reside in Lexington.
