Monica Denise Floyd and Kenneth Richard Avera were united in marriage June 9, 2007, 2:30 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church, Waynesburg, with Aaron Hogue officiating.
Laura Hamm, Stanford, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaid included Andrea Eastham, Somerset; Jessica Stringer, Waynesburg; and Bobbie Haney, Science Hill.
Tate Avera, son of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen included Michael Avera, Leesburg, Va.; Richard Stephens, Nashville, Tenn.; Jason Childress and Chris Dick, both of Somerset.
Flower girls were Chasity Coleman, Science Hill, and Kami Childress, Somerset.
A reception at Family Worship Center, Waynesburg, followed the ceremony.
Kevin Floyd, brother of the bride, shared a scripture reading and prayer of blessing during the ceremony.
Flowers for the ceremony and reception were designed and arranged by Southern Charm.
Music was by Deanna Tomlison.
Photography was by Tommy Wilson and video by Andy Reynolds.
The wedding cake was designed by Anne Reilly of Take the Cake.
The wedding coordinator was Edwina Jacobs.
Monica is the daughter of Donald and Melinda Spencer, Paducah, and Roger and Valorie Floyd, Bethelridge.
She is a 1998 graduate of University of the Cumberlands, Williamsburg, and is employed by Science Hill Independent School.
Richard is the son of the late Verna Mae Avera, Somerset, and Sue Jones, Science Hill.
He is a 1993 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, Richmond, and is employed by Synfuel Administrative Services.
