Shoemaker & Whitis announce wedding plans

Wedding Announcement

Neal and Sheryl Shoemaker of Somerset are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Britani Ann Shoemaker, to James Chadwick Whitis, son of James and Tamara Whitis of Eubank.

Chad is the grandson of Jaqueline Snell and the late Clell Snell of Somerset and Vernon and Laura Kate Whitis of Somerset.

Britani is the granddaughter of Larry and Ann Lay of Somerset and Ann Shoemaker and the late Lyle Shoemaker of Somerset.

Chad is a 2003 graduate of Pulaski County High School and a 2008 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he earned a bachelor’s of science in nursing.

He is currently employed as a registered nurse at Lake Cum-berland Regional Hospital.

Britani is a 2003 graduate of Southwestern High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Kentucky where she earned a bachelor’s of arts in education.

She is currently employed by the Pulaski County School Board as a fifth-grade teacher at Oak Hill Elementary School.

Britani and Chad were engaged May 10, 2008, and will be married Saturday, June 20, at half past five o’clock in the evening at High Street Baptist Church.

A reception will follow at the Hal Rogers’ Fire Training Center.

All family and friends are invited to attend.
