Guinn changed with sex acts with 13-year-old

Somerset — The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Somerset man following an investigation into  alleged sexual acts between the man and a 13-year-old girl.

Brandon Scott Guinn, 18, of Falcon View Trail, Somerset, was arrested Wednesday on a Pulaski District Court warrant of arrest and he was charged with second-degree rape.

The sheriff’s department’s patrol division received a complaint from a mother of a 13-year-old female and began an investigation on Sept. 14.

“The complaint stated that an 18-year-old male had engaged in sexual activities with her (the mother’s) daughter,” stated a press release from the sheriff’s department.

An investigation led authorities to Guinn, who was allegedly carrying out the sexual acts with the 13-year-old.

“The sexual contact was deemed to be consensual between the two and no force had been used,” stated the press release. “The child was not injured.”

The second-degree rape charge was filed only due to the alleged victim’s age and does not indicate any force occurred, according to the sheriff’s department.

Guinn was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
