Fireworks

 

With Independence Day weekend approaching, fireworks displays will be plentiful across Pulaski County in the coming days. Here’s a list of the biggest shows in town:
 
Friday, July 2
Eagle Heights Church — 200 Jessie Lane, near the intersection of Ky. 914 and Ky. 192, will have a free fireworks show at dark. Earlier in the day, families are invited to enjoy food, games, inflatables, and a church-wide yard sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Oasis Care Center, a Christian addiction recovery center. Activities begin at 3 p.m. For more information, call 677-9220.
 
Saturday, July 3
Lee’s Ford Resort Marina — 451 Lee’s Ford Dock Road, approximately five miles out West Ky. 80, will have a fireworks show over the docks at dark.
SomerBlast at SomerSplash — Off North U.S. 27 on Ky. 2227. City of Somerset-sponsored fireworks show at 10 p.m. A grand opening ceremony will be held for SomerSplash water park’s newest attraction at 10 a.m. Other activities will be available at the park throughout the day. SomerSplash season passes will be honored. Otherwise, regular admission fees will apply. Customers who enter the park after 4 p.m. will be charged $10. The water park will remain open until midnight.
 
Monday, July 5
27 Twin Drive-in — 5270 South U.S. 27, will hold its 43rd annual fireworks show at dark. Special movies will also be shown. Admission to the drive-in is $5 for adults and $2 for children.
