A Eubank man died Saturday in a head-on collision four miles north of Waynesburg on U.S. 27.

According to the Kentucky State Police, the accident occurred at 11:50 a.m. and involved three vehicles.

Timothy R. Mesaris, 48, Eubank, who was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry, was hit head-on after Tino M. Mejia, 25, Monticello, came up behind Julie Y. King, 35, who was driving a Chrysler Pacifica. King was slowing down for traffic stopped ahead when Mejia steered left, making slight contact with King’s vehicle.

Mejia then made head-on contact with Mesaris’ vehicle, which was southbound on U.S. 27. Mesaris was killed upon impact.

Meija’s injuries were not life-threatening, according to reports. Two children in King’s vehicle, Carlee King, 9, and Seth King, 4, were not injured, nor was Julie King.
