A Somerset man has been arrested on charges of sexual abuse following an investigation by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies arrested Ronnie D. Ping, 37, on May 3 after an investigation revealed Ping had committed the crime around Feb. 26 of this year.

According to information from the sheriff’s department, Ping “subjected a 15-year-old female to sexual contact by forcible compulsion by touching areas of her body.”

Ping was charged with 1st degree sexual abuse and was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $7,500 cash bond.

In other news from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department:

• Shawn M. Reynolds, 21, of Somerset, was arrested on a Pulaski Circuit Court warrant charging him with robbery, 1st degree.

Findings of an investigation into a February 2006 home invasion in the Hacker Road area were presented to a Pulaski grand jury, which returned an indictment against Reynolds.

Reynolds was apprehended by the Somerset Police Department on Sycamore Street on May 4, and was turned over to sheriff’s deputies.

He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $75,000 cash bond.

• Steve W. Miller, 36, of Somerset, was arrested on a Pulaski Circuit Court warrant charging him with 2nd degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking.

Miller was indicted following an investigation by the sheriff’s department’s Criminal Investigation Division into a December 2006 burglary and theft from a Breezy Hill Drive residence.

Jewelry, medication, and money was stolen during the incident.

Miller was lodged in the detention center on a $50,000 cash bond.

• Nicholas J. Lesinski, 21, of Burnside, was charged with burglary, 2nd degree, and theft by unlawful taking over $300 following an investigation by the sheriff’s department into a March 2007 burglary and theft at a Noman’s Lane residence.

Several items were stolen from the residence. The investigation revealed Lesinski had pawned some of the stolen items at a pawn shop in Oneida, Tenn.

Lesinski was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond.

• Steven W. Reynoso, 21, of Somerset, was arrested on two Pulaski Circuit Court warrants charging him with trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree (cocaine), and assault, 4th degree.

Steven was charged following an investigation by the Lake Cumberland Area Drug Task Force. The findings were presented to a grand jury.

He was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
