A Somerset woman was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital Monday for treatment of injuries sustained in a vehicle collision on South U.S. 27.

According to information from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department, David R. Inabnit, 54, of Somerset, had been driving a vehicle south on South U.S. 27 and was attempting to make a left turn onto North Horseshoe Drive, when he failed to stop for a traffic signal and pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle operated by Dustin Thompson, 19, Somerset.

A passenger in Thompson’s vehicle, Ashley J. Thompson, 23, Somerset, was treated at the scene by the Somerset Fire/EMS Department and taken to LCRH.

Sheriff’s units were assisted at the scene by the Parkers Mill Volunteer Fire Department.
