Jagged lightning flashes: Thunder rolls in the rain.
A rainbow touches the earth: At its end is a pot of gold.
Blades of corn shoot upward: Tassels create golden grain.
Crickets chirp at approaching night. Lightning bugs flash signals.
Rasping sounds of a bullfrog: Nighttime voices of a moss-covered pond.
Katydid repeats its name in the night: A legendary forecast of frost.
