Acting on a tip, police have arrested and charged a Wayne County woman in connection with the robbery of a Somerset restaurant three months ago.
Amy Denney, 34, of Monticello was indicted by a Pulaski County grand jury June 13 on a charge of third-degree burglary. She is a suspect in the robbery of Tumbleweed, a Tex-Mex restaurant in Somerset Mall on U.S. 27.
Tumbleweed employees told police that a female carrying a knife approached them shortly after 9 a.m. on March 13.
Police found clothing, a knife, gloves and a screwdriver in the area where the suspect fled. A vehicle, operated by Denney, has been identified as matching the description of the one which left the scene of the robbery.
Investigators arrested Denney after they received a tip and following a three-month investigation.
She was returned to Pulaski County Sunday and lodged in Pulaski County Detention Center.
