The Southwestern boys track team walked away with another win at the Pulaski All-Comers track meet at Somerset’s Joan Spurlock Track. The Warriors scored 174 points to edge out Pulaski’s 127.5 points.

Southwestern’s Sabastian Rhode and Michael Little led the Warriors with dual wins. Rhode won the 1600-meter run with a time of 4:45.45 and won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:09.18. Little won the long jump with a best of 19’06” and won the triple jump with a 40’03”.

The Warriors picked up big points in the 400-meter dash as Eric Denham and Trevor Jones placed first and second respectively. Denham had a winning quarter time of 54.19 and Jones followed with a 54.29.

Southwestern’s Jacob Belwood won the 3200-meter run with a 10:30.94 clocking, while Somerset’s Adam Joplin finished second with a 10:48.87.

Southwestern swept all four of the relay races — 400 meters, 800 meters, 1600 meters and 3200 meters — to pick up 40 points.

Pulaski’s Winston Hines won the 200-meter dash with a 24.04 clocking and teammate Jimmy Todd finished second with a 24.09 clocking.

In the girls division, Southwestern finished second to North Laurel, who scored a meet-high 180 points to the Lady Warriors’ 109 points.

Southwestern’s Kotey Crowe won the pole vault with a best of 7’06”. Hayley Denham finished second in the 1600-meter run with a time of 6:09.16.

Pulaski’s Lakia Sneed won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:37.01. Kayln Bowers won the 3200-meter run with a 13:08.54 clocking.

Somerset’s Hillary Kerr finished second in the high jump with a best clearance of 4’08”.

Much like their male counterparts, the Lady Warriors won three of the four relay races.
