One woman was injured in a Monday evening wreck on West Ky. 635.
Carol A. Cox, 58, of Science Hill was treated at the scene by Somerset-Pulaski EMS before being taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment of head and arm injuries sustained in the accident, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.
PCSO states that Deputy Zach Mayfield determined that Cox was driving a 1998 Gold Saturn westbound on Ky. 635 when she observed an oncoming vehicle over the center line. When she veered to the right to avoid a possible collision, she lost control and travelled into the ditch. The Saturn rolled on to its top and skidded for some distance.
Deputy Mayfield was assisted at the scene by volunteers of the Science Hill Fire Department.
The accident remains under investigation by the PCSO.
