The Orioles recently went 2-2 in Cal Ripken baseball action, in the 9-10 year old league.

The Orioles notched victories over the Marlins and the Cardinals, while falling to the Reds and Mets.

In the victory over the Marlins, the Orioles scored four runs in the home half of the first inning, and tacked on four more in the bottom of the second, en route to an 11-9 victory.

Devin Mayne had a huge night for the Orioles, going 4 for 4 at the plate with a run scored.

Nathan Addock went 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, while Jacob Burchett, Clayton Phelps, Hunter Shults, Brandon Matthews, and Chance Hall all added two hits for the victorious Orioles, while Shults shared team honors with Addock with two runs driven in.

In the 6-4 win over the Cards, Burchett enjoyed a 3 for 3 night at the plate with 2 RBI’s, while Phelps, Addock, Matthews, and Hall each added a couple of hits.

Addock and Hall also had an RBI each in the win, while Burchett led the way with two runs scored.

On the mound, Phelps threw three innings striking out 6 Cardinal hitters while allowing one earned run and four hits, while Burchett and Addock pitched the other three innings.

In their two losses, the Orioles fell 4-3 to the Reds, while dropping a 10-2 decision to the Mets.

In the one-run loss to the Reds, Phelps enjoyed a 3-3 day at the plate with an RBI, while Burchett went 2 for 3 with a run scored, and Shults, Matthews, and Chris Madden each added a hit.

The Mets meanwhile, rolled to a 10-2 win over the Orioles, as the Mets got a single and double from Lucas Turpin, two RBI’s and a couple of runs scored.

Wade Purvis also had two hits for the Mets, while Jason Hall, John Wilson, Noah Bolin, and Brandon Pruitt each had a hit.

The Orioles meanwhile, got singles from Burchett and Schultz in the contest.
